MN Hockey District 15

District 15 is the regional organization that helps run youth hockey in our area. Little Falls Youth Hockey is part of this district, along with several other communities within the state. District 15 is part of Minnesota Hockey, which is the state’s main hockey organization, and Minnesota Hockey is an affiliate of USA Hockey, which oversees youth hockey across the country.
So what does this mean for you and your player?
Think of District 15 as the middle layer between our local association (Little Falls) and the bigger state and national hockey organizations. It helps ensure your child gets a consistent, competitive, and safe hockey experience — and that our local teams are connected to a broader community of youth hockey players.

Game Schedules & Leagues: We play both in league and out of league games during the season. In-league games (or in district) are played against the other associations in D15. Out of district games are not part of our district and those games do not count towards our rankings, playoffs, etc.

Tournaments & Playoffs: District 15 runs the district tournaments and playoffs that our teams can qualify for toward the end of the season. From there you can advance to region and/or state tournaments that are facilitated by Mn Hockey.

Development Support: They provide opportunities for skill development, coaching resources, and referee training, all aimed at improving the hockey experience for everyone. District 15 also facilitates the initial phases for High Performance and Tier 1 programs for our area as well.
