Game Jerseys and Player Jersey Numbers

Each year, as we prepare for the new season, Squirt players will have the opportunity to select their jersey number for the duration of their travel experience with LFYH. Individuals will receive a survey with available numbers to select their top 5 choices from, only numbers that are not being occupied by curent Squirt or PeeWee level players, or is not one of the LFYH reserved numbers, can be used. The association will then appoint numbers to these players. Preference will be given to the older player where number selection conflicts occur.

The same process will be applied to any new Squirt, Pee wee, or Bantam player that joins the association as a new player. Again, no numbers will be allowed that conflict with current level or levels resides immediately before or after the player level. Example: A brand new PeeWee player will only be able to select from numbers that are not in use at Bantams, Squirts or by another PeeWee player.

The only numbers the LFYH allows are between 1-99. Number assignments are final and we do not allow changes once assigned. Players will have the same number until they graduate from youth hockey and enter the high school program, have left the association and returned after more than one season away, or are a girl switching to play in the Brainerd / Little Falls co-op.

For the 2026-27 season, LFYH is adoption new player owned jerseys for our travel levels (Squirts / PeeWees / Bantams) - navigating away from association managed jerseys. LFYH will purchase a player's first set of jerseys (1 home and 1 away). After that time, families will be responsible for purchasing replacement jerseys if the player needs a larger size, a player loses/misplaces theirs, they become stained / worn / damaged.

Families are responsible for the purchase of game socks through registration each year. Mid-season replacements are available for purchase at the concession stand if needed.

Ice MIte and Mite families are able to purchase purple game jerseys from the Pro-shop if desired. For those who do not purchase their own, LFYH will make once available for your player to used for games / jamborees only.
